The Chiloquin area lies at the heart of Klamath County ™ in south central Oregon. The heart, geographically, as the mid-region of Klamath County, which is Oregon’s fourth largest county. The heart, historically, as the ancestral lands of the Klamath people. The heart, economically, as the forest, range, and water resources that have long sustained area industries.

The Chiloquin area is roughly 540 square miles and home to about 3800 people. The landscape changes from the peaks and forests of the Cascade Mountains in the west to basin and range in the east. Three main rivers, as well as numerous creeks, vast marshes, wetlands, and Agency Lake charge the Klamath River Basin that runs from northern Klamath County in eastern Oregon to the Pacific Ocean at Crescent City, California.

Residents and visitors alike enjoy the scenic beauty of the area including Crater Lake National Park, and the wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities: camping, hiking, bird watching, boating, x-c skiing, rodeos, world class fly fishing, hunting, and more.
