Friends of the Chiloquin Library

donated rug

The Friends of the Chiloquin Library (FOCL) was organized in March of 1980, as a group of volunteers whose primary function was to raise funds in support of the library. One of their most recent contributions to the library was the colorful new rug for the Children's Library, pictured above.

The group remains very active and, in partnership with Chiloquin Visions in Progress, was a driving force in raising funds for the construction of the Chiloquin Community Center. The new Center, which opened in June of 2004, now houses the library, a gallery with workshops and classrooms, meeting rooms available for community needs, and offices providing social services.

FOCL has a number of ongoing activities including book sales, bake sales, production of an annual community calendar, an annual open house, and participation in community bazaars, parades, etc.

FOCL Meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Chiloquin Branch Library. Meeting time is 9:00am from April through October, and 10:00am from November through March. All are welcome!
